Who We Are

Headquartered in Oxford with a strong network around the world, Citrine International is an independent firm of tax practitioners who specialise in helping individuals with their tax exposures in the UK and US.

Since 2002 we have been helping our clients, and their families, take and maintain control of their complex international tax affairs. We achieve this by working closely with our clients, and their advisers, to ensure a pragmatic, conservative and solutions-based approach to tax planning.

Our experienced team are all proficient in both UK and US taxes enabling us to work collaboratively with clients to ensure a bespoke tax solution is delivered.

At Citrine International, our aim is to help our clients manage their wealth in the context of continuously changing international tax law. Our clients are spread throughout the world and each has their unique circumstances. Beyond compliance, with the multitude of tax rules, we offer planning services to keep their global tax liabilities to a minimum. With significant breadth and depth of experience, our tax advisers are able to assist with tax planning through every stage of life, whatever the complexity.

Communication

Communication is key to delivering effective tax assistance. We believe that keeping in regular contact is imperative to helping clients manage their tax affairs effectively. We keep our clients up to date with any changes in tax law with regular updates. Where possible, we prefer face-to-face meetings with clients in addition to regular emails and telephone contact.

Key People

Citrine International is located in Oxford with a reach that extends to numerous countries around the world. We encourage face-to-face meetings with our clients as often as possible, whether at home or work, to ensure regular contact with the key people in our team.

Greg Trotman

Greg is an expert in US individual income taxation as well as being a registered member of the UK Association of Taxation Technicians. He spent nearly a decade working in the field of expatriate taxation with PwC in their Southampton, Paris, Geneva, Lausanne and London offices before setting up the business in 2002.

Emily White

Emily is a Chartered Tax Adviser with over 25 years of experience in UK and US expatriate tax. This was gained at PwC in London, primarily in the International Assignment Services department, but latterly within the Executive Advisory team.

Eva Palomar

Eva joined the company in 2016 and became an IRS Enrolled Agent in 2018. She has also obtained the Advanced Diploma in International Taxation from the Chartered Institute of Taxation, further expanding her expertise in both UK and US tax matters. As a Spanish national who has lived and worked in both the UK and Spain since 2014, Eva has first-hand experience of the challenges faced by those undertaking cross-border relocations.

Ron Kaplan

Ron began his career with the company in 2016 and became an IRS Enrolled Agent in 2018. He has since obtained the Advanced Diploma in International Taxation from the Chartered Institute of Taxation, specializing in both UK and US taxation. His expertise covers a wide range of personal tax matters in these two jurisdictions.

David Palma

David started working in UK and US tax in 2016 and became an Enrolled Agent in 2018. He has since achieved the Advanced Diploma in International Taxation through the Chartered Institute of Taxation. Having lived and worked as an expat himself, David is well placed to understand and help with the complexities individuals face when moving across borders.
